To be eligible to win these prizes go to Laura's Loft and enter your creations in the Inlinkz.

My Take on the Challenge

I decided to use the diagonal prompts from top left to bottom right.  My card includes Sequins, Shaker Card, and Die Cutting.

To make this card I selected several pieces of decorative paper.  I die cut a circle in both papers to make my shaker card.  I stamped and die cut the penguin from The Greeting Farm "Let It Snow" stamp set and matching die set.  I colored the penguin with markers and glued it to the card.  I used Glacial Bliss Sequin Mix in the shaker with a little snow also on the bottom.  For the embossing element of the card I embossed the blue snowflakes on the front of the card using WOW Nice Ice Blue Embossing Powder.  I love the way the card turned out!

I love doing Challenge Cards!  They make you use your creative juices to put your own spin on your card.  There will be a Challenge every month at Laura's Loft so please make sure you check back to join in the fun.

All these great products and much more can be purchased from Laura's Loft.  Laura has a wide variety of all things great for card making and scrapbooking. She even has gift certificates available.

I hope everyone enjoyed my card.  Have a great holiday season!!!

HAPPY CARD MAKING AND CREATING !!!

A Fun Card Using Products from Laura's Loft

Hi everyone,

Today I am featuring a card made from products that can be purchased at Laura's Loft.  I am very proud to be a member of the Design Team at Laura's Loft.  I am in the company of many great card designers!!!

Here is the wintry card I made.

For this card I used The Newton's Nook Designs Stamp Set "Frozen Friends", Glacial Bliss Sequin Mix, and WOW! Nice Ice Blue Embossing Powder.  I absolutely love the way it turned out!!!

I cut a white piece of card stock to 3 3/4" by 5 ".  I stamped and colored the snowman.  I made a mask using masking paper to cover the snowman and inked the blue background over the mask. I stamped the snowflakes with a clear ink and sprinkled on WOW! Nice Ice Blue Embossing Powder.  I then heat embossed the snowflakes.  I glued sequins from the Glacial Bliss Sequin Mix and added a sentiment.  I cut a piece of black card stock to 4' by 5 1/4" to frame the white card stock.  I then placed this on an A2 card base made with white card stock.

I love the products available at Laura's Loft.  This stamp set can be used all winter long.!  I hope you enjoyed my card.  If you have any questions, leave a comment or send then to lindahpd@aol.com

HAPPY CARD MAKING!!!

I am one of the featured guest designer along with Jasmine Burgess.  This month we are featuring seasonal products highlighting the upcoming winter and festive holidays.  These products can be found at Laura's Loft.

Laura is also having a Winter Wonderland Giveaway, details at the bottom.

Today I am showcasing one of my favorite stamps from Altenew "Thoughts & Reminders" and also from The Greeting Farm "Let It Snow" stamp set and and matching dies.  I also have used a fantastic sequin mix called Glacial Bliss.

My first creation is a tag I made using the sentiment from  Altenew "Thoughts & Reminders" and the cute little penquin from The Greeting Farm "Let It Snow" stamp set and matching dies.

I watercolored the background on a piece of 140 pound watercolor paper and cut out the tag shape.  I stamped the sentiment onto the tag and heat embossed it with black embossing powder.  I then stamped the penquin on white card stock, colored it with markers and used the die to cut it out.  I also cut out the small red heart with the dies from the set and popped both of them with up.  The 3 stars are from the Glacial Bliss sequin mix.  This would make a cute addition to any package.  Just turn the tag over and write to and from on it.

My next creation is a fun card using only  The Greeting Farm "Let It Snow" stamp set and Glacial Bliss sequin mix.

I stamped and embossed the bear onto 140 pound watercolor paper.  I then made a mask for the bear and completed the background.  I distressed the background using a round piece of card stock as a template and different colors of ink.  I then removed the mask on the bear and colored his scarf and cup of cocoa with markers.  I used some white flocking on the bear itself.  I used white embossing powder and embosed the sentiment and the snowflakes.  I used the Glacial Bliss sequin mix to give it a little bling.  I then mounted it on a blue and white piece of decorative paper and mounted that onto a top opening A2 card.  I found the white embellishment I placed on either side in my stash.

I hope you enjoyed my creations, I had a great time making them.

Color Crush with Fun Stampers Journey

Hi everyone!

Today I played with some of the great colors from Fun Stampers Journey.  They have 44 great colors that have inks, splashes, card stock all to match.  I used the Color Splashes today to create a great watercolor look.  I started with FSJ (Fun Stampers Journey) card stock instead of watercolor paper.
I put different color combinations together.  I love how they all turned out.

www.funstampersjourney.com
These are the color combinations I made.  I used Lavender, Lemon Grass and Blue Lagoon on 2 papers,  Lavender, Pineapple Smoothie, and Watermelon on 2, Sweet Berry, Pineapple Smoothie, and Blue Lagoon on 2.  The last combination I put together is Citrus Cooler, Pineapple Smoothie, and Sweet Berry.

This is a card I made using the Sweet Berry, Citrus Cooler, and Pineapple Smoothie combination.  Stamps and dies used are also from Fun Stampers Journey.

For this card, I used the combination of Lavender, Pineapple Smoothie, and Watermelon.  Stamps and dies used are from Fun Stampers Journey.  I love the circle stitch dies.

This is one of the Color Splashes.  They come in a spray bottle and are great fun to use.  It is almost like a thin spray ink.  I used a small box to spray my card stock in-it could get messy.  After spraying, it tried quickly and I was able to continue to make cards.
I had a good time experimenting with the different color combinations.  I love trying all colors together.  If you are interested in checking out the splashes or other great colors we have, please go to www.funstampersjourney.com/GormayGreetings or contact me by email, lindahpd@aol.(com)    Have a great weekend coming up and get crafty!!!!!

Craft Haul from the South of France

Hi, Everyone!

I have been to France and back already and I had an amazing time.  My youngest son was married in a little village in the south of France called Eze.  We stayed in a charming city called Mandelieu and that is where I found a great craft store and bought lots of treasures!!!  Here are some pictures:

The store in Mandelieu.

A book to teach cursive to my grand daughter.

These looked interesting so I thought I would try.  They are liquid pigment inks.

Five packs of decorative papers. They have a lot of sparkles on them.

Striped sequins, who knew?

Stencils

Inside of an adult coloring book.

Cover of the coloring book.

This last find is from the grocery store.  I love the small pack of BIC Watercolor Pencils!

I had a great time looking through the store!  I only had about an hour but I could have stayed all afternoon.  It was hard deciding what to buy but I only had one bag to bring them home in and that was a carry-on, so I could not make it too heavy.  I am very excited to try some of my new finds out in the next couple of weeks.  I will make sure I post some of my new projects.

I thought I would include a few pictures of the wedding since it was the reason I found myself in France.

 The church in Eze.

 The view from the church.

The happy married couple.

Thanks for checking out my blog!  I will be posting lots more projects and I also have some great new projects from Fun Stampers Journey.  Have a great day!!!  HAPPY FALL!!!

I Love Water Coloring

Hi Everyone,

I had a great week this week.  It is hard to believe that summer is almost over.  Where did the summer go?  I spent some time with my friend, Jenny Barnett Rohrs, playing with some watercolor techniques.  We purchased some handmade decorative paper at a local art/craft store here in Cleveland, Ohio and I thought it would be fun to watercolor on it.  I will post a picture of the decorative paper and please keep a watch out for a post of what fun we had on www.crafttestdummies.com.  It should be posted in the near future.

Isn't this beautiful paper?  I just love it.

I also had a baby shower for my daughter-in-law on Saturday.  I made all the invites, favors, and decorations.  Here are some pictures.  Everyone had a great time!!!

Doesn't it look great?  I could not have pulled it off without the help of my sister and my friends.  My dear friend, Alessia, made the mason jars on the table with the baby's name on them.  Check out her website at www.kreationstation.net.

Thank you all for taking the time to check out my blog.  I hope you all have a great last week of August!

One Ink for Two Mediums

Hi Everyone,

I made a quick comparison using fun stampers journey True Color Fusion Black Licorice ink with Copics and Zig Clean Color Real Brush pens. The ink worked with both and no bleeding. It will be great to use one ink for both alcohol inks and watercolor. If you are interested check out funstampersjourney.com/GormayGreetings. Pictures to follow:

Thanks for stopping by!!!  Have a great day!!!  Enjoy summer while it's here!!!

Baby Shower Invitations

Hi everyone,

I just finished making 40 baby shower invitations for my daughter-in-law.  She is having our first grandchild so we are very excited.  Our granddaughter is expected in mid October.  Here are the invitations I made.

These invites were made using Stamping Bella's stamp, "It's Girl Time" and coloring with Copic Markers.  I think this stamp was perfect for a baby girl's shower.  I hope you enjoy this.  If you have any questions or comments contact me at lindahpd@aol.com

**I am having a make-n-take at a crop tonight using my funstampersjourney products.  Pictures tomorrow.  If you want to check the website out go to funstampersjourney.com/GormayGreetings
