New Cards

Hi Everyone,
I hope everyone had a great weekend!  The weather was beautiful.  I attended one of my dear friend's weddings and it was amazing.  I made a couple of new cards this morning using a "sketchie" from www.schoolofscrap.com.  I have made one other card this size.  They turned out better than I thought they would.  It is fun stepping out of your comfort zone and challenging youself to try something new.

This is the card I made from the "sketchie".  I love the colors.

This card is a wedding card I made.  You can put your check or money in this without it being folded.

I hope you enjoyed these cards and maybe they inspired you to do something that is new and different.  Thanks for checking out my blog!  Have a great week!

My Other Hobby, Painting

Hi everyone,
It is another beautiful fall day today!  I hope you all can enjoy it a little, even if it is just going outside on your break.  I just finished painting a serving plate for a friend of mine who holds wine tasting outings in Avon Lake.  Her facebook page is Kreation Station-check it out if you get a chance.  I don't paint alot anymore but I do enjoy it.

I also worked on some cards this week.  I got a new die cutting set and made the card below.  The other cards I made using fall colors-even though I thought I was through with fall.  I just love all the colors.

I hope everyone has a great weekend.  Thanks for taking the time to check out my blog.  Please join me in hoping the government shutdown is over soon.  It certainly affects me and alot of my friends.  Thanks!!!

More Fall Cards

Hi Everyone,
It is Monday again!  WOW!  I made a few cards over the weekend and went to a craft show in Findlay.  I am winding down on making fall cards and starting to think about Christmas.  It will be here before you know it.  So after this week, I will start making Christmas cards.

I love all the colors of fall and craft cardstock makes the perfect card for fall colors.

I took this picture of the moon and thought it would look good in a Halloween card.

I do like these napkin fold cards and once you have done a couple, they are really easy to do.

I hope everyone has a good week. I will be attending a virtual crop at www.schoolofscrap.com tonight at 8:00PM.  It is alot of fun.  I will post the new cards I make this week.  Join us!   Keep your fingers crossed that the Shutdown ends soon,.  A paycheck would be nice!  Thanks for checking out my blog!

Fun Fall Cards

Hi Everyone,
Hard to believe it is Friday already.  I have been working on some fall cards but it feels like summer right now in Cleveland, Ohio.  I guess we need to enjoy these nice days while we can because the snow will be flying before we know it!  Here are the cards I have been working on:

I love all the fall papers and colors!  This card and the one below are easy to make and really look impressive.  I am trying to stock up on some cards so I am having a great time making them!  And it will be even more fun sharing them.

Yellow, my favorite color!

This a card I did from a video on www.schoolofscrap.com .  I love the stars and the saying inside.

The saying reminds me of something my dear friend Jeanne Bice always said.

I hope everyone has a great weekend!  Thanks for checking out the blog and my cards.  Please let me know if you have any questions about any of the cards.  If you ever need a special card made-let me know.  Thanks again!!!

Monday Cards

Hi Everyone,
I hope you all had a great weekend.  Days off sure go fast!!!!  I had a busy but productive weekend.  Archivers is going out of business in North Olmsted so I had to stop there yesterday after a Genius Appointment at the Apple Store.  I even cleaned my craft room yesterday to make room for the stuff I bought at Archivers.  I made several cards over the weekend.

I made this card from a "Sketchie" for a vitual scrap on www.schoolofscrap.com

A quick birthday card for my son, Michael.  I got to use my Zinc hAppy for this card.  If you look close you can see the Happy Birthday on the printed picture.  It shows up much better in person.

This is a napkin fold card that I made for a dear friend of mine who is getting married in two weeks.  She loved the card when she got it today!!!

I can't believe tomorrow is October already!  I hope everyone enjoys looking at the cards and thanks for checking my blog.  Have a great week!!!

Some Fun Cards

Hi everyone,

Just got home from work and thought I would post a few of my cards I made this week.  The weather has been so beautiful here in Ohio it was hard to take time to make cards.  In my last post I gave you the website I was part of.  Since I posted it has changed and the website is www.schoolofscrap.com.  You should check it out!  Here are a few of the cards I made this week.  The flower pictures are pictures my sister sent me.  I  love it when I get card ideas sent to me.

The first five cards are done from a card sketch challenge and are all layed out the same way.

This last card is another napkin fold card for fall.  I love the way it turned out. If you would like to see a certain card, just leave a comment or if you have any questions.  Thanks for checking out my blog and I hope everyone has a great weekend.  Enjoy the weather!

Pictures in the Park

Hi everyone,

Happy Fall!!!!  I hope everyone had a great weekend.  I got alot accomplished this weekend, so I guess that was good.  I follow a website called www.schoolofscrap.ning.com and every Monday they have a live scrapbooking/cardmaking session.  I made the birthday card below from one of the weekly sketches they have.  If you check the site out, mention that I sent you.  It is alot of fun.

I made this card from a picture I had taken in a nearby park before I left for Ireland.  I was able to get close to the bee without getting stung.  I have several apps on my phone that I can take a picture from my phone and then send it to get printed.  Quick and easy.  It is really fun to be able to make cards with pictures you have taken.

I hope everyone enjoyed the card and check out the website I mentioned if you get a chance.  Have a great week!  Thanks for looking at my cards!

Craft Room Pictures

Hi everyone,
I am getting ready to clean the craft room up and I thought I would send a couple of pictures of my craft room.  Plus a birthday card I made for a dear friend.  Here is my craft room (don't mind the mess):

It is really great having a room for nothing but crafts.  I certainly did not take long to use all the space!  But there is always room for one for thing!  I love yellow!!!

I made this birthday card for a dear friend.  I love the stamped saying on the card.  Remember when making cards to double mat the card-it really makes the card stand out.

I hope everyone has a great weekend and thanks for checking out my blog!

New Printer

Hi everyone,
Sorry I didn't get to post earlier this week.  I had a busy weekend and then a terrible sinus headache for two days.  I received my new Zink hAppy printer in the mail right before we left for Ireland so I just got it working when I came home.  I created the two cards below using the new printer.  It is great for cardmakers because you can print right from your phone and the pictures come with a sticky back.  Here are just two cards I completed:

 Thank You Card

New Baby Card

I thought I would post a few more Ireland pictures, too.

A sign in Howth-Glad I wasn't driving

The Castle where BraveHeart was filmed

Fishing Boats in Howth

The Irish Countyside

Hope you enjoy the pictures and the cards.  I will be working on a few more cards today, so I will post them tomorrow.  Have a great day!

These are just a few of the pictures.  I can't wait to print them and make some cards with them.
I did have time to make a couple of cards since returning on Tuesday evening-but boy the older you get the harder it is to bounce back from the travel.  Here is a new technique on a birthday card I made for a dear friend:
