Today's card is featuring First Coffee, one of Joy Clair's newest stamp sets.

To make this card I cut a piece of white card stock to 4 inches by 5 1/4 inches.  I used a stencil from my stash and stenciled using rainbow order from the center out to the edges. I stamped the bear and sentiment on another piece of white card stock, colored the bear with Copic markers, and fussy cut the bear and sentiment out.  I used foam tape to pop the sentiment and bear up on the card.  To ground the bear I used silver glitter washi tape from my stash under the bear and as a border around the card.  I adhered the finished card front to an A2 size purple card base.  For my final touch, I used black NUVO drops and liquid glitter splatters on the card.

New Joy Clair MASCULINE Challenge

Hello Everyone,

It's time for another Joy Clair Challenge on the Joy Clair Stamp Projects Facebook Page. An album for each challenge will be posted on the Joy Clair Clear Stamp Projects Facebook Page. Please upload your entries to this album.

The CHALLENGE today is MASCULINE CARDS/PROJECTS.   Create a card or project using a Joy Clair stamp or digital download with a masculine touch. This is a perfect opportunity to get Fathers' Day card/projects done.  A winner will be randomly picked on June 4, 2020. The winner will be able to pick a free digital download of their choice. All entries must be uploaded to the Challenge Album by 11:59 EDT on June 3, 2020.

Here is an example of the card I made using the Classic Father's Day Clear Stamp Set.

To make this card I die cut a piece of white card stock measuring 4 inches x 5 1/4 inches with a stitched die.  I used  a geometric stencil and lightly stenciled the background, gradually fading out toward the edges of the card using a blue ink and a blending brush.  I inked the edges of  the card stock with a darker blue ink.  I stamped the vehicle on a white piece of card stock, colored it with blue, black, and grey Copic Markers.  I used a silver pen to add details to the wheels, lights, and flashes on the side of the car.  I placed a back sticker line on the card, the car was placed on that to ground it.  I stamped the black flames onto the card stock and used Glossy Accents on the flames to give them shiny dimension.  I stamped the sentiment onto white card stock, embossed it with clear embossing powder, cut a tail on it and adhered it with foam tape to the top of the card.  I mounted this to a black piece of card stock cut to 1/8 inch larger than the white piece.  I glued this to an A2 ( 4 1/4 inches by 5 1/2 inches) blue card base.  I added blue Nuvo drops for a little detail.

**Helpful Tip:  If you are going to add drops to your card for a finishing detail, wait until the card is completed and then add them.  This way you don't smear them when you are putting your card together.

The link for this fun stamp set is listed below.

Thank you all for taking the time to check my blog.  I hope this helps inspire you to make some masculine cards and maybe get a jump on Father's Day!  If you make a card or project, please enter it in the album on the Facebook page for a chance to win!!!

A Slimline Card Featuring Joy Clair's Best Buds Stamp Set

Hello everyone!

Today I am featuring a slimline card made using Joy Clair's Best Buds Stamp Set.  I love the cute critters and the fun friend sayings in this set.  During these difficult time I really miss my friends.  This is a great way to let your friends know you are thinking about them.

To make this card, I first made a slimline card base out of white card stock  The card stock  is 8 inches wide and 9 inches tall. I folded the card stock in half at 4 inches.  The card base then measures 4 inches by 9 inches.  I used a die from Pinkfresh Studios to cut the aqua piece of card stock.  I placed the aqua piece on the card base without adhering it down and used a pencil to mark where each of the circles were.  I removed the aqua piece of card stock.  I die cut 3 slightly larger circles out of an alcohol ink background from my stash.  I glued them to the white card base in the penciled circles I had drawn  I stamped the images and sentiments from the Best Buds Stamp Set onto white card stock and colored the images with Copic markers. I glued the sentiments and images to the aqua card stock.  I used foam tape on the back of the aqua card stock, centered it above the alcohol inked circles and adhered it to the card base.  I used a NUVO glitter pen on each image and added sequins for a little extra sparkle.

The link for the Best Buds Stamp Set is below.

Fun with the New Spring Floral Basket Digital Stamp Set

Hello Everyone,

I hope you are all well and staying safe.  Today I am showcasing the New Spring Floral Basket Digital Stamp Set from the New Release.

To make today's card, I stenciled a sunburst patterned stencil with yellow ink onto a piece of white card stock.  I die cut that piece with a die making it into a 4" x 5 1/4" piece.  I cut the background piece with a die one size larger onto a green piece of card stock.  I glued both of these to a white A2 card base.  I colored and fussy cut the flowers and adhered them to the card with foam tape.  I framed the sentiment with the same green card stock and popped it up with foam tape.  I added green Nuvo drops to accent the card.  This digital stamp set is so fun and versatile.  I love all the spring and summer flowers.  I am ready for some great spring weather!!!

***For all my digital downloads I use an 80lb white card stock and print them on a laser printer.  If you don't have a laser printer you can take them to an office store to be printed.  Make sure you bring your own paper.  An ink jet printer is fine, but the laser makes it so much easier to use your alcohol markers with.

Thank you for checking out my blog.  If you haven't already, please check my previous two posts featuring the New Joy Clair Release Blog Hop for a chance to win great prizes!!!

Joy Clair New Release Day 2

Hello everyone and welcome to Day 2 of the Joy Clair New Release.  Today I am showcasing cards made with the Spring Floral Basket Digital Stamp Set and the Bumble Bear Digital Stamp Set.

My first cards are from the Spring Floral Basket Digital Stamp Set.

For the first card, I colored the flowers with Copic markers and fussy cut them. I die cut a piece of white card stock with a background cover plate die and glued it to a blue A2 card base.  I then die cut an oval out of white card stock, ink blended it with blue ink and glued it to the center of the card.  I die cut an oval frame out of the same blue card stock I used for the card base and placed it around the ink blended oval. I glued the flowers around the oval and the sentiment in the middle after framing it in blue card stock.  I added Nuvo drops for detail.

This second card I colored the basket and flowers and fussy cut them.  I die cut a piece  of white card stock and water colored a blue rectangle inside and splattered it with water.  I popped up the basket with foam tape and glued the sentiment above it.  I adhered the die cut piece to a blue A2 card base.

My next two cards showcase the Bumble Bear Digital Stamp Set.

For this card I stenciled a honeycomb background to a white piece of card stock with yellow ink.  I colored and fussy cut the images from the digital stamp set.  I used an oval die and cut the stenciled background. I glued the floral image to a white A2 card base and lined around it with foam tape to make a shaker card.  I added a piece of acetate to the stenciled background.  I placed some seed beads and metal bumble bees inside the shaker area and adhered the stenciled background onto the card base.  I glued the flowers around the oval area and added the bumble bees and sentiment.  I used some sequins for sparkle. A fun shaker card.

For the second Bumble Bear card, I ink blended a white piece of card stock and die cut it with a cover plate die.  I colored and cut out the images.  I used the left over oval from the first card and popped it up with foam tape.  I glued the bear image to the card.  I added a black sticker strip under the feet to ground the bear.  Sequins were added for sparkle.

My second card features the Floral Joy Digital Stamp Set .

To make this card I colored and fussy cut the images from the digital stamp set.  I used a cover plate die with hearts to cut out a violet piece of card stock.  I left some of the cut pieces in the die to add a little detail.  I adhered the die cut to my A2 white card base.  I used foam tape and popped the flowers up in the center of the card.  I framed the sentiment with a piece of black card stock and used foam tape to pop it up.
